One Brand, Two Production Paths: Plan Your Nail Packaging

A mixed press-on nail range can look like one brand without using one identical package. For handmade small-batch styles and machine-made scale products, write one private-label packaging scope with two parts: the brand details every product shares, and the physical format each product group needs. Confirm the production path first, compare its default packaging, then approve any format exceptions with the actual product in place.

Start with a production path for each product group

365nails brings private-label packaging together with handmade customization for smaller batches and machine-made production for scale in a coordinated supply chain. That service scope lets you discuss the range together. It does not establish that one box, card or sleeve will fit every style.

In your brief, give each product group a clear name and record its confirmed production path. If a route is still undecided, mark the packaging format as provisional too. Keep a reference to the selected product beside its packaging specification so a change of product cannot silently carry an old packaging choice forward.

Record the default packaging baseline for each path

The standard starting formats differ: machine-made sets use display paper boxes, while handmade sets use transparent hanging bags. Packaging upgrades are available separately. Use those defaults as the baseline for your comparison, rather than treating custom branding as already included.

For each group, write down whether you intend to keep that baseline, add a branded component, or request another package. Confirm the proposed arrangement for the selected products before calling the specification complete. A shared brand plan is a reason to coordinate these decisions, not a reason to erase the differences.

Share the brand-facing components, then test the fit

Available 365nails packaging options include logo stickers or labels; cards for mounting the nails; sleeves and care inserts; and boxes for retail or gifting. Artwork and print proofs are part of the review. Choose the components your range actually needs instead of requesting every option.

As a planning rule, keep the logo version, collection name and approved wording consistent across product groups. Share the care wording only where it applies to both products. Treat print dimensions and placement as separate decisions: the same design file may need a different layout for a bag and a box.

For example, a hypothetical range could use the same collection name on a handmade group's hanging bag and a machine-made group's display box. The shared name connects the range; the label size and placement still need separate review. This is a briefing example, not a claim that a particular combination has been approved.

Make necessary format exceptions explicit

List any proposed change in package size, mounting layout, insert size or label position under the product group it affects. Give each exception a reason, such as fitting the selected product or keeping the product name readable. Ask the supplier to confirm feasibility before approving it.

If a shared component does not fit one group, revise that group's format rather than shrinking all the text or obscuring the product. If the change affects the collection name or logo treatment, review both groups together again. This keeps local fixes from becoming accidental changes to the whole brand.

Use one packaging inspection checkpoint with separate versions

Before approving the packaging scope, ask to review a packed example for every proposed format alongside its artwork or print proof. Check the product identity, logo version, readable wording, placement and fit. Compare both production paths side by side for shared brand details, then check each group's exceptions against the brief.

Record the reviewer, the version checked and any correction needed. An approval of the shared artwork should not stand in for a check of every physical format. When a product or package changes later, reopen the affected check before reusing that approval.

365 Take

Standardize the parts that help buyers recognize your brand. Let the package format follow the product. One clear brief with named exceptions is easier to review than a demand for identical packaging that leaves the fit unresolved.

Operator Move

Prepare a short list with one row per product group: production path, default package, shared brand components, format exceptions and the packed version to inspect. Use it to request a customization review. If a packaging choice is still unclear, contact sales with the two product references and the specific difference you need resolved.
