How to Apply Press-on Nails:Application Guide for Glue & Adhesive Tabs
Beautiful nails in minutes! You can apply press-on nails quickly using either nail glue or adhesive jelly tabs. Here’s a step-by-step guide for both methods:
Method 1: Using Nail Glue
What You Need:
-
Nail glue
-
Nail file & buffer
-
Cuticle pusher or orange stick
-
Alcohol pad or nail cleanser
Steps:
-
Prepare Your Natural Nails
-
Remove old polish, clean hands and nails thoroughly.
-
Gently push back cuticles with a cuticle pusher.
-
Lightly buff your nail surface to remove shine (this helps adhesion).
-
Wipe nails with an alcohol pad to remove oil and dust.
-
-
Find the Right Press-on Nail Sizes
-
Choose the most suitable nail tip for each finger. File sides if needed for a perfect fit.
-
-
Apply Nail Glue
-
Apply a thin, even layer of glue onto your natural nail and/or the back of the press-on nail.
-
-
Attach the Press-on Nails
-
Place the press-on nail at the base of your cuticle (slightly above, NOT on top of the cuticle), then press down firmly for 10–20 seconds until secure and bubble-free.
-
-
Repeat for All Fingers
-
Continue above steps for all nails.
-
-
Finish & Care
-
Avoid water and heavy tasks for at least 1 hour after application, for best durability.
-
To remove: Soak your nails in warm, soapy water for 10–15 minutes, then gently loosen the press-on nails.
-

Choose Press-on Nails & Adhesive Tab Sizes
-
Select the correct size tips and jelly tabs for each finger.
-
-
Apply Jelly Tab
-
Peel the jelly tab off the backing, place it on your natural nail, and press to ensure it sticks.
-
-
Remove Top Film
-
Peel off the protective layer from the top side of the jelly tab.
-
-
Apply Press-on Nail
-
Align the press-on nail, gently press from the cuticle to tip, and hold for 10–15 seconds.
-
-
Repeat for All Fingers
-
Finish & Care
-
Avoid water for a couple of hours for lasting hold.
-
To remove: Gently lift from the side using a cuticle stick.
-
Which Method Should I Choose?
-
Nail Glue: Best for long-lasting wear (1–2 weeks), stronger hold, and water-resistant.
-
Jelly Tabs: Best for quick, non-damaging, short-term wear (5–7 days), no residue and easy removal.
Tip: No matter which method you use, keep your natural nails dry and oil-free before application for the best results!
